listen to the sound.

Outside the walls shook.
inside the air was smoke, and stale bodies.
The young kid was screaming so loud.
it brought a smile to my lips.
so much passion.
listen to the sound.
lift it up.
let it out.
nightime is our time.
won't you join me
as we dance to our deaths?

"i'm still figuring it all out."
it's empty inside the old white brick house,
the rooms smell of old lives, old lies.
my cousin says "it'll be alright".
"sure. Right. Let's hurry home."
"what for?" She asks, running her hand over the grass.
Her brown hair shouldering down her back.
sunlight on her feet.
"Wheel of Fortune is on."
She stares at me, and i look away.
I put out my cigarette,
and we move through the field.
not speaking, barely breathing.
It's empty outside.

reviews!

Danger DOOM "The Mouse and The MAsk." I've always found that MF DOOM has been what hip hop should be. He's fun, bright, and enjoyable. There are no social negatives to this type of hip hop. No ganster rap, no demeaning references to women. On this album , basically a promotion for Adult Swim, the collaboration brings about a wonderful treat to fans of any of the shows especially Aqua Teen Hunger Force. This cd is funny and to hear Meatwad rap at the end will make even the most dull of you laugh. The best songs are Sofa King, Vats of Wine, and Bada Bing. I remember when Cartoon Network released the Brak cd so many years ago. It was fun but apealled mainly to a niche audience. This cd, on the other hand is hip hop at it's best and could easily be listened to on any drive through town.
But it helps if you like cartoons.

Winner of best picture way back in 1960, The Apartment is a great funny film starring Jack Lemmon before he was a grumpy old man about a man who lends his apartment to his bosses and their affairs. It's funny how little has changed in that regard. Anyway Lemmon and Shirley Maclaine are great in this and even though it has the trappings of Late fifties film and a rather hollywood ending, it's definetly worth your time.
A best picture oscar that still is great.

comics, lions and bears, oh my.

new avengers 15. Frank Cho's (Liberty Meadows) artwork works well here. I thought it was weird when he was announced to do a run on this series but since it's mostly a talkie issue he's the perfect choice as he does do facial expressions pretty well. anyway this book doesn't really rank in top of this series so far but is o.k. as filler goes.

Beat PNO3 the other day. game is shiny! Now playing mega Man x collection,(those games are hard) and Tales of Symphonia.
Reading Scott Mill's The Masterplan, and Jonathon Lethem's The Fortress of Solitude. Currently listening to Tilly And the Wall.

Going to go a wash some dishes so I can dirty them up again for dinner tonight! YAH! and were going to the big bad best buy tonight followed by another new Lost! Triple YEAH! movies at the cinema i still need to see are Brokeback Mountain and the New World. Have a good day you funny funny people.

Emmett Louis Till

Went to see this Documentary "The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till" last night at the Bijou last night. If your like me and were born after the civil rights movement, you need to go and see this film. It can pretty much sum up every feeling of cruelty and hate and unreasonable bigotry that existed during that time of our countries history. It shows a justice system that doesnt work, much like our current one in relation to suspected 'terrorists'. It's scary actually at the world we could have been born into. We have lot's of work left to do where equality and human rights go, in fact at one point while they were using a CNN clip about Emmett Till you can see the headline about the Iraqi prisoner abuse scandal scroll across the screen. This film should be seen if for nothing else to remind us that there is unfounded hatred in this world and people are mistreated every day. You will feel sad, ashamed, and sorry for the human race. and that's o.k.
sometimes we should be reminded of who we are and what we've done.

munich

Wow. This is a good, no a great movie. It's tight, it entertains and it raises issues that should be raised every day in the world we now live in. Where has this Spielberg been hiding? He's released so much popcorn crap lately I didn't know he had a movie of this caliber left in him. It's a tragic and yet beautiful film about vengenance and the consequences of going down that path and spiralling out of control. I was truly impressed. Welcome back Steven, now just don't make any more movies with Tom Cruise and you'll be o.k. in my book.

Just read: Ultra by the Luna Brothers,
Now reading: The left hand of darkness by Leguin. Uncle Sam by Darnall and Ross.
Now playing. PN03 (gamecube) Metroid Pinball (ds), Mario Kart (ds)
Now listening, Piebald, Party of Helicopters, Serenity OST

5

from one enchilada to an amazing burrito.

in years we past, state to state
region to region, intertwined,
following each step with renewed vigor,
our hearts together, our feet in reach,
no matter our faults, they are overcome
as long as we wake up together.
it's been a beautiful five years,
let's go for fifty.
i've got the energy and the time.
can't think of a better way to use them.

gods.

So the hotel was packed this year. Seemed everyone was there. Athena was hanging all over Loki, which must have infuriated Zeus, but oh well, what do they say about bad boys? The drinking was led by the norse kings again and over and under the tables the demons hovered. The card game was going rather smoothly. Apollo was winning but everyone at the table was waiting for Crounus to come around and start playing. Hercules was already in negotiations with the hotel staff for more food, but the manager was actually standing up to the brute. Diana laughed at that, happy that someone told Hercules no. She was swarmed by her female entourage as usual and all the male gods had long given up on attaining her hand. Boreas sat huddled in the corner and Auroura had her cloak pulled tight. Many parties had ended early when she let he light shine in. And of course in the middle of the room sat Volupia her crowd swarming. And on the typewriter was Clio recording it all. And me, I just watched it all. The gods and their set rotation.
Captives of their own legends.

proving that i'll watch anything.

I believe I have seen more films than ninety percent of people my age. I really do. I'll watch anything and with anyone at any time of day. I have since I was about four. Well in the past three days I've added six more pictures to my list and they are as varied as they come. Watched Million Dollar Baby finally the other day. I stayed away from this picture for some reason. I'm glad i finally sat and watched it.
Saw Walk the Line at the New Strand on Friday which was very very good. Then last night watched Sexy Beast with Jessica. Ben Kingsley is scary. Then I popped in Godzilla, Mothra and King Giddorah All Out Monsters Attack for some fun Japanese monster laughs. We are housesitting for some friends and they have free Video on Demand so tonight we watched Jim Jarmusch's Coffeee and Ciggarettes which i thought was very good and National Treasure with nicolas cage. National Tresure tries to hard and would have been a better film with Michael Bay as director. Honestly if your going to do a big action flick, go ahead and do it with blow stuff up Michael Bay. Not John Turtletaub.
O.k. See I like movies. I really really do.
