Pan's Labyrinth. A horror/fairytale movie for adults.

Guillermo Del Toro latest film is dark, harsh, and yet still has a sense of make believe that you can get only on film. It looks like he kept his crew together from Hellboy as the make up is still top notch and the overall look of the film matches the previous one in style and lighting. This is the kind of genre movie that needs to be made more of. It's serious, and it takes itself and it's creatures seriously. Wonderful performances all around and like any good fairy tale it follows it's path.

Doug Jones has created a niche for himself as our creature actor(abe sapien, silver surfer) and this friend below. The Pale Man has one of the best five minutes of creature feature since Godzilla first arrived. He's scary.
