trek fest is um

really a small town faire. Its kind of neat that they have the whole star trek thing label on it but really its just a small town fair with nothing much more to it. We only stayed about 1/2 an hour. I did see the future birthplace of Captain Kirk though. It's behind an alleyway. Someone had taped a picture of Uhura to the back. Funny.

You went to Trekfest??? Hahahahahahahhahahahaha. I've lived in Iowa my entire life and I've never even stopped in Riverside for any reason. Ew. Glad you had fun tho.

it was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. to meet the people who somehow manage to combine star trek with tractor races and catching greased pigs? it can only happen in riverside, iowa.

Only stayed for a short time? You should of stayed for the fireworks. It was totally awesome!! Full of lights and sound. Sure puts the big cities to shame. Every year Trek Fest gets bigger and better; a must see for the Trekkie's at heart!
We are celebrating the future birth of James T Kirk so you have to have tractor races and other events thrown in there for it is a carnival incorporating Star Trek into it.
Who am I?
